Subtraction  

With lockdown we have all had to reduce everything in our lives down to its essential elements. I wanted to apply that thought to my art practise, what is essential ?  Using the process of subtraction I broke my work down into its essential elements 

This series was inspired by nature looking at the passing of time though the growth and development of plant life in an urban setting. These works look at our relationship with nature, how important it is to us and how much we need it for our physical and mental health.
